Cover Portal
When a care shift falls open, it fills itself, fairly, and without a manager ringing round at 9pm.
The Cover Portal is the shift-cover engine inside SOL.Y, our care-management platform. It exists to kill the worst job in a care rota: an uncovered shift, and the evening a manager spends texting staff one by one to fill it.
When a shift falls open, the portal publishes it to the staff who could take it, lets them claim it from their phone, and then ranks the people who put their hand up by how well they actually fit, hours, response time, contract, so the manager awards the right cover in one tap. The moment it is awarded, the rota updates itself.
